I have been lurking this site for quite some time and i have seen people being bothered by a few things when it comes to yaoi mangas. Here's what it really bothers me:

Why is it that in the majority of mangas is it somehow a norm and ok to show the uke having sex with other people but not the seme?

I have read lots of mangas and i have encountered this i don't know how many times and it really pisses me off. When it comes to sex the manga artists don't really have a problem with depicting the uke being sexually active, having sex or enjoying sex with other people , but when it comes to the seme we are always told that he was a playboy or had sexual experience but very few artists actually show the seme having sex with other people beside the uke.

I wonder why is that? Does anyone know because i have dropped so many mangas because of this stupid attitude. Either show both of them having sex with other people or no one at all. This double standard is making me crazy.

I don't mind if the seme or the uke had previous experience or relationships but when i am introduced to them in the manga it ruins my mood so much when i have to see one of them, predominately , having and enjoying sex with other people. How am i supposed to believe that then they have feelings for the partner? For me it cheapens the relationship so much and i can't root for the couple any more.

Does anyone knows why the manga artist do that? I'm really curious about it...

i've been listening to alot of BL drama CD lately, around 80 drama CDs (AND IT TOOK ME A WEEK) and some drama cds really stuck in my heart such as Kawaii Akuma and Brother Shuffle (these 2 are extremely hilarious and unpredictable(≧∀≦)) and there are some drama cds that i can't handle (cause too smutty) but i listen to them 'til finish anyway such as Yarichin Bitch Club and Kuroneko Series (damn these 2 too hot for me ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ ) but my most favourite is Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (Yoneda Kou). Not just the manga written and drew so well, the drama cd is giving me a very good impressions. I didn't expect that i cried in the middle (the part when the cop rape Yashiro) i actually don't want to give spoiler so you guys can go ahead listen to it while reading the manga. SO GIVE ME YOUR ANSWERS ╮(￣▽￣)╭

So I have seen all these yaoi where straight guy falls in love with a guy or becomes gay.
So i wanted to know if that can happen in real life or not ? can someone really change their sexual preference that easily ?

I love yaoi, okay? Don't get me wrong. But are you seriously okay with the uke falling in love with the rapist/predator/paedo seme? Whatever the reason maybe for the seme to do it but this really really bothers me becoz most of the time it's becoz the seme is afraid to confess or some bullshit. Is it really love if you rape them? Like what? I just want to know your opinion. Is it considered okay in japan? I mean there are 11-12 year old girls reading this shit. They are going to think rape is okay. OR even consider it a form of true love. Why no one says anything about it? Is everyone aware of this risk in japan? I mean in my country this would be banned lol.

Firat of all, I want to clarify that I'm not insulting the whole YAOI genre.
I'm a hardcore fujoshi myself and I've been reading it for more than 10 years.
But I'm getting sick of this YAOI cliches that are FAR TOO UNREALISTIC..
I'm not saying that this applies to all YAOI mangas but it sometimes become a pattern in some.
I just want to enumerate them and get it out of my system.

1. If one of the family turns out to be gay then the rest would follow (the father, the younger or older brother, the cousin, the uncle)
2. Rape isn't considered a bad thing... I hate how the victim isn't showing any signs of being traumatized but instead falls in love with the rapist.
3. All of the Uke/Seme's MALE circle of friends and acquintances start to fall in love with him. Its a LA LA LAND of gay.
4. Having sex in public places and people just magically disappear...

Haha.. With all thats been said...
I still like YAOI and I will continue reading them..

My first webtoon if I remember correctly was '19 days'.
I was not aware that this was a webtoon and treated it just like a manga.
I was confused at first because i was reading it from right to left.
Also I didn't know a page was usually that long, so I usually missed out some of the panel.
I was an idiot back then.

Now I'm completely obsessed with Korean webtoon.
