Not apologizing for something I did. I'm never sorry, lmao.

I'm not here as Tuesday right now, I'm here as Elijah. Don't know if anyone noticed but the account that made the post that's got everyone in hysterics right now is named "Mrs. Tuesday," a friend of mine. I'd tell her to get on here and apologize herself, but she's not the type so I took it upon myself to apologize on her behalf. I'm sincerely sorry to anyone she offended. I'd say it wasn't her intention but it absolutely was and she's 100% in the wrong for that whether it was a joke or not.

First of all, she's not straight, she's bisexual, and uses trad-neos herself. She is not a fujoshi either, in fact, she's very anti-fujo.

She didn't mean what she said in that post. This isn't me making excuses for her, it was still a bad idea for her to post that. But I'd just like to make it clear that she only thought it would be funny to troll on here. None of the opinions in that post were her own. She's a very supportive person, but she has her moments when she does things like that.

She's a very opinionated person, as am I, but we're friends nonetheless. She probably deleted her account by now, she said she was gonna do that. Though I have my own opinions on the LGBT that can be considered "controversial," I don't condone what she did in that post. It was not a productive way to spark conversation about those subjects, then again, she just wanted some funny reactions. (kudos to the guy who posted the "small dick energy" meme, that was funny)

I find human morality such a weird thing. For example, most people on this site are typically against incest, rape and pedophilia, and rightfully so. And they are, in turn, against unrealistic depictions of it in media and the romanticization of such subjects, as am I. You would think this rule that say “if it’s bad in real life then it’s bad in fiction” would apply to everything, but it doesn’t.

We’ll easily demonize someone with a non-con porn kink but shy away from a Freddy Krueger fan. I see what’s generally accepted as murder as a worse crime than rape, yet I don’t care for people who’re horror fanatics, but I *do* see people with rape links and 10MGs of loli hentai stored on their PC as questionable people.

Weird. Why question people who romanticize rape but turn a blind eye to people who do it with murder? Despite the backwards morality, I’m not gonna change my opinions. I don’t see someone who collects Jason figurines as a potential murderer, but I do see someone who can go “pedos bad!” and then go wank their peeners to 2D preschoolers getting dicked n’ doinked as someone questionable who shouldn’t be let around kids.

I wrote an entire ass essay about this as an ‘Experience’. I’m reposting a shortened version of it here cause the other one is pretty lengthy. If you’d like to read the full-length version it’s here http://www.mangago.me/thing/about/164671/

We’ll start this off with the lesson of the day, which would be about Queer Baiting.

“But what’s Queer Baiting?”

☆ Why, I’m glad you asked. Queer Baiting is a shitty marketing tactic used by authors and animators to attract a queer audience. They do this by creating sexual and/or romantic tension between two same-sex characters, however these relationships are never evolved or expanded on. Sometimes, it was never going to be canon in the first place.

“But why is that problematic? They’re still representing same-sex couples in a way”

Excellent question. And to that I have to say, a character switching teams at the end of a series with absolutely zero development with that person is not representation and is not being ‘woke’. I’m looking at you, Legend of Korra.

I mean, just look at shows like Yuri!! On Ice, Love Stage!, Hibike! Euphonium, Free!!! and Super Lovers, (starting to notice a trend here) all of these were huge cluster fucks with nothing but queer baiting and shallow plots. Homoerotic relationships were hinted and its implied that characters in these shows have feelings for one another or there’s heavy same-sex sexual tension present. Only for nothing to fucking happen.

☆ Let’s take a look at shows like Craig of the Creek, Stuck In the Middle and Cowboy Bebop. What makes these shows examples of good representation in media? The answer is simple. Nobody cares that Harley and the Diaz’s are Hispanic because they’re chaotic and persevering. Nobody cares that Craig is black because he’s fun and adventurous and nobody cares that Faye Valentine is a woman, because she’s fucking badass.

☆ Having a characters main personality trait be their gender, race and sexuality and practically having that character walk around and say “hey! Look at me! I’m gay!” Or “I’m black” or “I’m a woman!” Makes them seem like less of a person and more of a spectacle.

Characters shouldn’t be defined by their race gender and sexuality. It’s their morals and their personality that should determine whether they’re a good character or not.

I thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

I don’t understand what’s appealing about omega verse. Most of it is unconsensual bullshit splattered over a couple of panels.

God knows where the hierarchy came from and in almost every Omega Verse I waste my time on, omegas are extremely hated and prone to being raped 24/7 unless they take some form of medication that’ll suppress their pheromones. I don’t understand the appeal to a universe where a quarter of its population is prone to being raped/abused on a daily basis.

I don’t even understand why they’re hated? It’s never explained in any Omega Verse. In my opinion, they should be the most loved? Are they not the optimal mate for reproduction purposes?

And twinks who gain a uterus once a month or once ever “heat-cycle” don’t do it for me. The appeal of M-Preg in Yaoi is something I will never understand. It’s such a turn-off for me.

Speaking of, do none of these mangaka understand how Estrus works? Most animals only experience a heat cycle every 6 months or so yet every Omega is constantly in heat.

Where do you fall on the political compass?
Would you say you’re tolerant of opinions that differ from yours?
Could you/would you be friends with someone who’s opinions opposed yours?

Personally, I’m closer to libertarian left, although I do have some opinions that could be considered controversial.
I’d say I’m fairly tolerant of others opinions.
I’ve got many friends with opinions that differ from mine. I find it much more interesting and engaging to surround myself with people who’s opinions differ from my own.

Someone had to say it. Astrology sites and horoscopes just take things that can/will apply to 50% of people and assign that trait to a sign to make you believe stars have some effect on your personality. “You strive for knowledge,” “you wish to be successful.” Like, who doesn’t do those things?

I find it so funny that astrologers are making 40k a year writing horoscopes and astrology articles that do nothing but make people believe balls of hydrogen and helium in the sky somehow have an effect on their personality and allow people to predict their future.

I’ll give you my top 10 at the end

○ Your opinions on anime [as a whole] don’t hold any value if you haven’t seen at least 25 anime or only enjoy a single genre.

○ A good chunk of people who hate SoL, comedy and Josei anime almost exclusively like edgelord, fake deep anime made for angsty teens who just discovered the Elfen Lied anime. They’ll say A Silent Voice sucks and then go watch School Days.

○ Half the seasonal anime line-ups lately have been and are going to be anime made for horny NEETS.

○ Ecchi/harem is he most piss poor excuse of an anime genre.

○ Tokyo Ghoul anime is dog shit. Derails from the manga too much. If you really liked the anime, chances are you haven’t read the manga.

○ Sakura wasn’t completely useless, she had important roles, she was just more of a support character.

○ Power scalers suck.

○ Anime isn’t the place for performative activism. Blatant racism, sexism and homophobia is almost always called out but it’s just annoying when twitter progressive keyboard warriors complain about there not being a black, pansexual, quantum physics gender vegan character in their favorite anime

My top 10 (no particular order)

Made In Abyss + movie, Samurai Champloo, Golden Boy, Fullmetal, Perfect Blue, Death Parade, Tiger & Bunny, Houseki No Kuni, Eva, Bokura No

I don't know why this is a hard concept for some people to grasp, but lets get it out in the air- rape is bad, and you suck if you romanticize it.

I left a comment under the most recent chapter of Legs That Won't Walk
TL;DR, people in the comments attempted to excuse the literal assault happening in the chapter.

I don't have a problem with people reading about depictions of rape. I'm not saying you're never allowed to read about taboos, just don't romanticize it. Publicly, at that. Somehow this pushed peoples buttons. Never did I ever think I'd hear people try to defend their right to romanticize rape and assault.

There's *still* someone arguing about it in the replies to that comment as I type this out. You can still like a story whilst acknowledging the shitty, sometimes illegal things a character does. You cannot just excuse what's happening or make excuses for a character for the sake of your enjoyment.

You can make the excuse that it's fiction, but its a fictional depiction of a *real like occurrence,* you can't just water it down to less than a horrible crime. And if you're gonna do that anyway, at least keep it to yourself.

I don’t know why my last question about it suddenly started gaining more responses. But let’s clear up some misunderstandings.

1. I was referring to the MPreg found in manga *only* so idk why people decided to go get pictures of actual pregnant men. Like... please don’t.

2. A lot of people brought up transgender pregnancies... I’m literally trans. Of course, I’m probably not important enough for anyone to actually know that, but I have it listen in my bio. I think you can understand why it’d make me uncomfortable and why I’d be disgusted to see that male pregnancies have basically been turned into fetish material for such an awful AU.

3. On top of cis men being given the ability to get pregnant, it’s common in OV’s to hyper feminize the ‘omegas’ to the point where they look like women. That doesn’t sit right with me for the same reasons.

4. To hyper feminize the bottom and hyper masculinize the top is extremely heteronormative. This isn’t to say MLM couples like that do not exist. But when it becomes the norm to feminize the ‘omega’ to the point where they look like women *and* have the ability to get pregnant and the alphas are over masculinized, it becomes a problem. Just read a heterosexual manga/hwa at that point. There’s no reason to be reading BL if they just took a heterosexual couple, made it a gay one, but kept everything that made it a heterosexual couple.

5. As we know, cisgender MLM people are incapable of having biological children and many trans MLM do not *want* to have them. And I think OV attempts to revise that by giving men the ability to reproduce with another man. Which I, again, find gross. Not only is that heteronormative, especially considering the fact that a lot of the omegas in question who get pregnant look like women or are over feminized, but the point of a relationship is not *solely* to have children. To attempt to revise that in any way says a little something about an author if you ask me.

6. There probably are MLM out there, somewhere, who enjoy OV. But personally, I’ve never seen another MLM person say anything remotely good about OV. I feel like the entire AU is supposed to be gay relationships... but more digestible for non-MLM. Specifically heterosexual ones.
