I know this might come off as weird, but I’m really curious. Since most people here love men, I grew up thinking women liked men just because they had to, not because they found them appealing. Imagine my shock when I discovered that women actually love men sexually as I got older. As a kid, I always thought loving women was natural and that everyone loved women. That’s probably why it took me so long to realize I’m actually gay.

Also, I know people might call me out because my list is mostly BL (my sister’s done that too, lol). You can crucify me all you want if you find a comment on my profile describing BL men as hot, or sex hot, or asking if there’s smut in future chapters—I dare you to find it, lol. Honestly, most of the time I read BL not for the smut; I don’t care about it that much.

For me, nightmares are always about viruses happening on my PC. The dreams always go like this: I use my PC in peace, then it restarts, and I can't use it at all or I can use it but All of my files are deleted, and the home screen picture changes to menacing colors. Then a window pops up asking me to pay if I want my files back.
yeah I'm such a dweeb

Something like Hereditary and The Witch, or The Blair Witch Project, but please not with a lot of gore. I'm fine with a little gore, like once or twice, but not throughout the whole movie.

Honestly, I see a lot of people don't like it. I always thought, 'Oh, it’s because straight people feel uncomfortable seeing what society puts queer people through, so they’d rather view gay men as objects of fantasy than think about their struggles.' But apparently, that’s not the case—queer people also hate it.

As for me, I don’t hate it. A lot of BL fans are homophobic, so reading media that challenges their beliefs and makes them reflect on the flaws in their morals is, in my opinion, a good thing. It also makes me relate to the characters. Being queer in a conservative country is tough, and seeing characters go through the same struggles as me makes me feel seen.

I do wish GL explored homophobia more. They often make being a lesbian seem easy, which isn’t realistic. The only GL that felt relatable to my experience was Run Away With Me, Girl.

Honestly, today I read a bunch of posts that made me wonder why the BL community cares so much about gender. People often say, 'BL is made by women for women,' or 'Mangago’s target audience is women, so why is there this incel content here?' I think the idea that Mangago is for women likely stems from the BL content, but Mangago is a pirate website and isn’t trying to target anyone specifically.

Another point is, why do people assume that straight men can't enjoy BL smut? Why must they be attracted to men or be gay in denial to like BL? Maybe they simply like some aspects of BL that they don’t find in GL or straight hentai? For example, I know someone close to me who enjoys lesbian porn more than straight or gay but she is straight I know she is straight her attention is only on men she likes men but she says she like lesbian porn because there are some aspects to it that you don't find in straight porn or the gay one.

I think it’s unfair to categorize people so rigidly; we each have unique feelings and thoughts. Sexuality is much more complex than just saying, 'If you watch XXX, then you’re Y.'

Also, I’ve seen comments that say BL authors often use she/they pronouns and that it's rare to see a 'he.' Maybe authors prefer 'they' because they don’t want people assuming they're gay? Which could make them uncomfortable? Especially since homophobia is still a big issue in Asia. While I'm sure BL fandom is mostly women people often underestimate the number of male audiences.

Anyway, I'm not attacking anyone if you are interested I like hearing your opinion.

If I didn't use other platforms, I would think it was a normal thing to say. But, sadly, I do use different platforms, and you would look so insane for doing that. Those rope memes are not funny. There are a million insult words—use those instead. Suicide is not funny; if someone dear to you dies by it, you wouldn't be so comfortable with how you're treating the subject. The Pegger, this is the second time I'm calling out someone here. I wasn’t serious about HomosexualTyranny when I made a post about them, but you just fucking suck. I don’t know how you were comfortable posting, 'Why haven’t you killed yourself yet?' Some people took you seriously and shared their self-harm and their struggles with suicide when you were there to just rage-bait them. How are you comfortable living with yourself? Huh? Can’t you be a ragebaiter without hurting people? Do you really have to be racist or do this shit?

I swear to God, every time I decide to read a historical fantasy or any supernatural/fantasy BL, it always ends with fucking pregnancy. I try to tiptoe around it, double-check to make sure there’s no pregnancy plot, and guess what? IT'S STILL END WITH PREGNANCY! And the authors give zero indication it’s going to happen. It's always something random like, “Oh, there’s this man/family who makes potions or pills to get men pregnant,” or, “Me sucking your blood will make you pregnant.” Like, this comes out of nowhere in the fucking 70th chapter! Sometimes they don’t even bother with an explanation—just, “Oh, by the way, he’s pregnant.”

And the MC? No reaction. Like, dude, you thought this was impossible, and now it’s happening, and you’re just… chill about it? Even women have mixed reactions to pregnancy—fear, horror, or just processing what’s happening—but these MCs are always like, “Meh.”

Supporting authors on T A P P Y T O O N S is a nightmare, especially if you’re from a third-world country. Companies couldn’t care less about us because they know we don’t have the money to pay for the stuff that we see on ads, so they don’t even give us those damn ads. I have to use a damn VPN that keeps disconnecting—it’s literal torture. And when I finally manage to scrape together enough to buy all the chapters of a manhwa I like (because I want to support authors who make BLs with actual plots), it all ends in male pregnancy!

The only time I felt good about my purchase was with Her ShimCheong. Everything else? A scam. I had to drop so many series because of that damn male pregnancy trope.

Let’s be real: BLs with male pregnancy are mostly heteronormative. It’s this idea of “You can’t be happy without kids,” so authors shove babies into the story out of nowhere. And don’t hit me with the “But men can get pregnant” excuse. THEN THEY DO THAT, why is it always a cis man? Oh, I know why—because most BL fans are transphobic, and authors won’t touch trans characters with a ten-foot pole.

I would love to read and support BLs with trans men, but let's be honest that will never happen the author will get shit for that. Male pregnancy keeps happening in BL because of society’s obsession with the “You need kids to be happy” narrative. There’s nothing deep about it—it’s just another heteronormative idea that society likes to push and people follow it like sheep.

It makes me wonder why we normalize fantasizing about characters who are killers or violent. People often say, "It's just fiction, and there's nothing wrong with liking it", people argue that fiction with murder doesn’t affect people or doesn't influence them into committing murder, which is just wrong—a lot of real serial killers were inspired by movies to commit their crimes, plus there is research that proves violent media can have an effect in people. Also, many people are infatuated with real serial killers, even falling in love with them, like with Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy.

On another note, I hate the romanticization of violence. I love horror movies where the evil characters meet bad ends and root for the main characters to escape. I even like characters like Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa but she dies in the end, which I appreciate. However, I really don’t like it when villains get happy endings. Most BL with plots feature male leads who are emotionless, violent characters who kill for no reason or for fun. This is why I’m not reading Rainbow City—the author's other works feature violent male leads, and the torture scenes in Swapping made me feel disgusted and uncomfortable with the male lead, since then I have avoided her works like the plague. And even then I still read some because like I said 99% of BLs that have plots the MLs are evil which is just getting exhausting.

By the way, I'm not trying to make you feel guilty for liking it. When I said I hate the romanticization of violence, I meant when authors do it—not you for enjoying it. It just feels overdone in BL. I’d love to read something more like Pygmalion or Stranger in the Mirror, where characters experience emotions toward other people beside each other or go on adventures together without hurting others. That’s it. But I’m still open to a civil discussion about why violence is okay in fiction and would like you to debunk my arguments.

So, from time to time, I watch true crime videos, but in the comments, people are always like, 'Poor dogs' or 'Poor children.' Yet no one seems to care about the adults who died in the video. In fact, people even request to see photos of their bodies. I’ve seen many arguments about why trigger warnings are needed for dogs dying but not for adult humans. The reasoning is often that dogs and children are 'innocent' and can't do anything wrong.

But that’s such a naive outlook. Children are capable of hurting others—sure, you can argue it's because of an abusive home. But there are children who come from non-abusive homes and still hurt others. And what about the adults? What have they done to not deserve your sympathy? Lying? I don’t get it. There are adults who’ve never hurt a soul in their lives, so why can’t they be considered 'innocent'?

I personally struggle with hearing about children dying and need a trigger warning for that, but I still feel heartbroken for the adults who died too. Maybe not the same way as for children, but I still care. I think this bias has a lot to do with people having pets. They empathize more with dogs because they imagine losing their own pets, or they witnessed their pets dying so they understand the pain, it does have nothing to do with 'innocent'. But that doesn’t mean we should overlook the humanity of adults who’ve suffered or died

Do you watch YouTube? If so, how much time do you spend on it, and who are your favorite YouTubers? What topics does the YouTube algorithm recommend to you?

For me, I watch YouTube for more than 2 hours a day. My favorite YouTubers are penguinz0, Danny Gonzalez, Kurtis Conner, Drew Gooden, and Chad Chad. The algorithm mostly recommends food and computer-related content.

I'm curious if there are people here who are YouTube enthusiasts like me

I mean, even if they did nothing wrong to you, honestly, I’ve never hated someone who didn’t do anything wrong to me. But I see a lot of people say there’s nothing wrong with hating someone who hasn’t done anything wrong. Honestly, I keep my distance from people who think like that because I don’t want to be hated for no reason, lol.

I mean, like, on your way home or something. Okay, here’s mine: there was this super old, 90-year-old man sitting on a bench. He called me over, and I thought, 'Okay, maybe he needs help or something.' So I asked him what he wanted. But guess what he asked me? He wanted me to go with him behind a house to, you know, do something with him. I was so damn shocked. Of course, I refused, but then he started guilt-tripping me, saying stuff like, 'If I were a young guy, you’d do it with me.' I was just standing there, like, 'Where did he even get that idea from?' I was wearing super conservative clothes, but this old man just started making up fanfiction about me being out here sluting for no reason. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

so I was reading "I Have To Be A Great Villain" and I reached the BL cultivator arc, I'm not gonna lie this plot pissed me off, basically MC friend (who is a woman) got the uke role, even though I like here I just find it weird there were a bunch of Josie roles and she had none of them she didn't have any romance with guys but somehow when the author made her take the uke role she fucked a man as a gay guy and the comments were like " she is living the dream" none of the comments called it weird. am I conservative, if it's not weird I would like to know why. honestly, I really didn't like it, it would be fine with it if she just only took the Uke role but the author involved her in sex parts it really gave me the vibe of "every fujoshi dream" vibe

for me, my criticism is mostly with MLs they are always (mostly) alone they don't have friends, and their only focus is the MC it's just one-dimensional writing. like give them friends, give them people that they can care for in platonic ways, somehow in BL the MC is the only ones that have friends while the the ML (mostly) always has to be alone, so his focus will be only on MC which just boring in my opinion.
also, I just hate how they are violent most of BL stories have a violent ML who is violent toward other characters like beating, and killing, and also, has an anger issue I just hate seeing them hurt other characters and the author make them get zero repercussions. so it's just make me mad at the story tbh
