Do you agree with governments passing laws that require ID verification to use social media? Personally, I don’t. Australia passed a law where companies have to verify users' ages and block anyone under 16. Legislators claim the government won’t ask for IDs directly, but honestly, I have no idea how companies are supposed to confirm someone’s age without it.

I also don’t agree with ID verification for adult websites. While I don’t use them, I’m pretty sure most people wouldn’t feel comfortable handing over their ID just to access such sites. Sure, these laws are supposedly made to protect children, but to me, it feels like a massive invasion of privacy. And let’s be real—data breaches happen all the time, Users’ sensitive information could end up leaked, like what happened in Turkey. also, these rules can lead to people using websites or dark web that have unethical porn and also are unmoderated.

I’d never trust a company with my ID or upload it to the internet. Every website has vulnerabilities, and data breaches always can happen. Plus, governments could exploit this data for shady purposes. It could affect your freedom of speech or even put people in danger—like in countries where being queer is illegal. The internet is often the only safe space for LGBTQ+ who live in those countries to connect and express themselves with other queer people.

I just don’t get how people agree with these laws. Sure, protecting kids is important, but instead of enforcing intrusive measures, I’d rather see governments use their resources to educate parents. Teach them how to guide their kids, monitor their internet use, and block harmful websites. Education is a way better solution than trying to control everyone’s online life.

Like, I saw someone ranting about a manhwa where the author made a super feminine bottom, claiming that the author fetishizes gay men and wants to be that feminine guy. even though the author is a guy, lol, and it's pretty clear he just wants to fuck that character instead of self-inserting because The character gets sexualized left and right, but people still refuse to acknowledge that some folks are genuinely attracted to super feminine bottoms. Why is that so hard to accept? Why do people always have to go through such a hoopla rather than accept that people are attracted to them? Sure, I believe there are authors who self-insert, but there are also plenty who are just attracted to feminine guys.

I know this might be a dumb question, but when I watch ghost-hunting videos, some of them make me feel a bit uneasy. There are places where real tragedies happened—like buildings that burned down with people inside, or where people were murdered in horrific ways, or asylums and jails where people were tortured. Like, why aren’t you giving the same energy to straight stuff? There are so many shows with elementary school kids that have romance, but y’all act like queer kids don’t exist. What if the person you’re jumping on turns out to be a kid who just wants to see a queer kid like him in a TV show? Someone to show him he won’t be alone just because he’s different.

Just because it’s romance doesn’t mean it has to be sexual. Spending time together, laughing, and going on dates is enough. There’s nothing sexual about it.

All love and respect to the men who are here just to read and aren’t misogynistic pricks—I'm not talking about you; I'm just joking. But I see a lot of men calling women emotional and saying they can’t be leaders because of it. However, in my experience, the men in my life were more emotional than the women. Women often tried to find solutions before going into panic mode, whereas men would get mad, start shouting, and throw things around before thinking. Of course, that’s just my experience, and I’m sure many men don’t react this way, but I have a feeling that the ones who call women emotional are the ones who tend to react aggressively.

Anyway, my biggest chronically online moments are about to show up. (I don’t meet people who’d tell me outrageous lies—I don’t have friends :( ). So, for me, it’s this girl who makes videos about the city she lives in, which is the coldest city on Earth. I watched One of her videos that had '-71°C' in the thumbnail and title, and my naive ass believed her. But I had to Google it to check if it was true or not (to avoid embarrassing myself if I told someone). Turns out, it was wrong. The average winter temperature in that city is around -30°C, and the coldest temperature ever recorded there was -64.4°C back in 1891. That clickbait made me stop watching her videos. Like, I’m fine with some clickbait, but this was literally a lie and spreading misinformation. I was willing to keep watching her content, but that was such a turn-off that I just stopped, like how do I know she wouldn't lie in her videos if she was willing to make titles that have outrageous lies like those

I know people will disagree with this one because it's popular, but I think it's India. I remember this YouTuber saying, 'Woo me, I was going to enjoy my trip to Japan, but here I am going to India for the memes and having a miserable time.' I was like, are you serious? India is such a beautiful place! Sure, the country has its own problems, but that doesn’t change the fact that its nature is absolutely stunning, and the historic buildings are incredible and its culture is beautiful like thier clothing, colors everything. Visiting India is my dream. Honestly, I’m so tired of people with their typical answer Japan this Japan that, like sure japan is a beautiful country but maybe Expand your palette?

I was reading the answers to the previous question, and reading how people say being gay is normalized and widely accepted surprises me every time; also, I find 'using labels weird because you are attracted to the people, not gender' is not a good take. No, people—I love women because they are women. I don't love them romantically; I'm attracted to them sexually. Yeah, I know that makes me your typical trashy straight man, but I can't help it. No matter how I try, I never have romantic feelings for people. I always hated it and felt guilty about it, especially with me being a woman. I know the feelings of being sexualized and objectified by other men, but I still do it to other women. So no, I'm attracted to women, and I will never be attracted to a man because I don't find them sexually appealing. Sue me for that—gender matters to me.

Also, homophobia is not a thing of the past. I will post resources in the comments, and then you can read them for yourself. In my opinion, you should read them. If you think homophobia is a thing of the past, you should educate yourself about how other queer people suffer around the world and get out of that bubble of yours. THERE ARE COUNTRIES THAT HAVE THE DEATH PENALTY FOR HOMOSEXUALITY.

Also, people are homophobic toward you not because of '10,000 genders,' but because they are that way. They are just trying to justify their homophobia and feel less bad about themselves. Instead of directing your hateful energy toward people who are actually hating you, you are blaming people who have done nothing wrong to you. I don't care about how people should label themselves, and I don't need to understand it. I will respect it because it doesn't hurt me or anyone else.

Homophobes and transphobes will find a reason to hate you either way.
