A little rant but, I get annoyed when I'm reading or watching a shounen and all of the male characters are like top-tier and well-written, then the female characters are barely surface level. Like, I know ppl r just gonna chalk it up to the genre it meant for boys or sum shit. But, is it that hard? Like, idk maybe I don't understand it cause I'm a girl, but how can you write one with these complex backstories and great character arcs and the other you struggling ? Especially if she's one of the MAIN CHARACTERS. Like, I just don't understand it, and if she does have an arc a guy is always involved! Also, why is it that when the main character is a trio of 2 boys and 1 girl she is almost always severely weaker than them? Like why can't she be on the same level? For example Sakura, she got placed in a group with reincarnated gods. Why did they set her up like that ? I do like the idea of her training to get stronger but bro, they barely showed it! Anyway, that's my little rant I just want to hear other ppls opinions on it.

Now that Solo Leveling has an adaptation, I've seen many people arguing over who Jinwoo should have ended up with. I mean, idrc who he ends up with but I'd love to hear ppls opinions on it.

I saw ppl say that Gojo was too cocky, and imo Gojo wasn't cocky enough. Like, if that was me I'd never shut up. I'd actually be insufferable. Like, wdym I'm the strongest? My ego would be BIG. Then I saw another comment saying they wouldn't want to bring attention to themselves for safety or smth like that, and I mean, like, ppl might try to take you out but, aren't you the strongest in your verse ? but then again Gojo did get packed up. and I saw another person saying they'd be nonchalant and that had me dead. Anyway, I just wanted to hear other ppls opinions.

I heard it's really bad, and i'm too lazy to watch it so someone just summarize what's so bad about it. Please and thank you.
I've seen so many TikToks about ppl thinking they're the next light yagami, and it gives me such second hand embarrassment, like why do you wanna have a god complex so bad?

I've been seeing too many Jinx defenders on my timeline and it's actually pissing me off. People who go to great lengths to defend this manhwa are soo annoying and so victim-blamey. This shit would be horror manhwa if Jaekyung was uglyALSO, idgaf if it's fictional; you're still romanticizing rape. AND THE AUTHOR, it's like she doesn't understand that she's writing a toxic and abusive relationship. It's getting scary out here

For me it's Itusomi from A Sign of Affection, everyone hypes him up but when I read it he was just so boring. Don't get me wrong he's nice, but he's bland imo. Also, Sungyeon from Hosik's story; I LOOVE that manhwa but it felt like he was just there. He's super nice, but if you asked me what his personality is like, I couldn't tell you.

Mine are "Who Made Me A Princess", I feel like the plot is good but its kinda lacking, plus I hate Claude. Also "Secret Lady" I don't really have a reason why I don't like it, I just don't

This might be a little long but bare with me, If you've read Yours to Claim you'd know the fandom is divided between Yahwi or Cain.
Tbh, I would have been all for Yahwi if he wasn't toxic, and he hadn't raped Jooin. Like, in the beginning I thought he was going to be like Jiwon from BJ Alex. He was an asshole in the beginning, but then he understood his wrong doings and he became better. But, Yahwi legit has no development; and don't even mention that one chapter where the author tried to make us feel bad for him, because that's really not character development. The author just played the sympathy card.
And Jooin is also very indecisive, going back and forth. It's just really repetitive. And ik ppl find Cain suspicious, but he hasn't really done anything to prove he has ill intentions y'know? Anyway, I just wanna read your thoughts and opinions if you've read it.

Is there a Man/hwa/ga/hua that has nothing wrong with it, but you don't like it for some reason?

This is so such a non-issue and not that serious but, why do MCs always choose a dagger as their main weapon? out of all the weapon choices, they have like; a scythe, sword, or a GUN, they choose a dagger. and don't get me wrong I love dungeon/levelling/systems manhwas. I eat them up but, it just makes me laugh. and most of the time their reasoning is it gives them aura points like. Anyway, that's my unserious rant!
Yesterday I was using my sisters laptop to write a paper, and when I was researching all I see on her search history is "avengers fanfic peter stabbed" "Naruto impaled fanfic" "mha todoroki gunshot wound", and much more. And im just like did I read this correctly? And the fact these are her favorite characters. idk this is just funny to me, but I won't judge cause what I read isn't any better.
I hate it when I’m reading a historical manhwa and the author makes slaves or people in poverty the antagonists, portraying them as purely evil without any nuance. It also bugs me when the female lead buys one of her love interests and acts like she’s giving them a better life, but they’re still essentially a slave—just with slightly better working conditions. Honestly, in historical manhwas, I can’t stand how they glamorize royalty while dehumanizing the poor. The lower-class characters are either portrayed as saintly or completely evil, with no in-between. I absolutely love historical manhwas, but I’ll drop a story if slavery or poverty isn’t depicted with proper depth because it feels like the authors don’t truly grasp the severity of what slavery really is. Anyway, I hope this makes sense I'm just word vomiting😭
