technically speaking no author makes yaoi "for" lgbt people, the books it's published in are marketed pretty strictly towards women (straight or not) there are probably some mangaka who write yaoi that are lgbt themselves, and there are certainly lgbt people who enjoy it but we aren't the target audience. bara is pretty much the only mlm manga co......   reply

I think people are missing the fact that a LOT of the manhwa that gets posted here is already available on an official platform in english. takes a lot longer to translate/clean/typeset a thirty page chapter of manga than it does to download a few images and reupload them. unfortunately even in japan there is very little gl series in comparison to bl series the melonbooks in denden town has an entire aisle full of bl but the gl only gets one tiny shelf. hopefully the amount of gl series will increase in the future, but for now there just isn't that much to translate. v__v   reply

I'd guess it has a lot to do with reader's personal connection to the themes. there aren't a whole lot of people relatively who have had someone close to murdered by serial killers or in direct relation to organized crime but just about everyone in the world knows someone who has been saed so it becomes more directly triggering. is it hypocritic......   reply

toxic yaoi is really just going to be used to broadly refer to any bl relationship where the characters aren't healthy for each other. if you're trying to find dark stories without getting into consent issues etc you'll be a lot safer checking cws rather than whatever micro genre of the week people describe it as. toxic yaoi isn't an official ter......   reply

it has potential i think, but i'd recommend developing the middle parts more. romance as a genre is REALLY common now so you have to be quite unique to stand out. think about their personalities, what leads to them falling in love, what the obstacles to that might be. and tragic endings like that can be good, but i wouldn't make it such a random ......   reply
