Tbh If they grew up together and they’re half or step siblings, that is a huge no no,,
But if they’re step siblings, meaning not related by blood, and they’re only siblings because their parents remarried when the siblings were like 20 yrs old then nah

I would say unrequited love because it would hurt far more watching the person you love, love someone else.
It would definitely hurt less if youre unable to love because you don’t know what it’s like to love that person. You also don’t have to feel the pain of unrequited love.
