Being around people wears me out. I can last longer in smaller groupings with people I like and feel liked by, but even then I REQUIRE time alone to recharge. The book is useless and older than hell. Some stuff is just plain wrong and would never work, other stuff so outdated it's pointless. I'm going to come out of left field here and go with Handa from Acid Town (which is more s-ai than yaoi, really, but it does have the label so it counts). He's strong, loyal, and comfortable in the kitchen. He might be a little excitable at times, but that can be channeled into other activities ;)
Not that I would turn down Hyoudou, either.
