Your gut instinct is your first line of defence, if it’s telling you something isn’t right then listen to it. If he can’t or won’t communicate with you and clarify his side then value yourself over anything else. There are better people out there who will be open and honest with you. It’s hard and awkward to try and make new friends. I understand the environment you’re in and would suggest that you attempt to laugh it off as though you were just sus’ing her out cause you had a feeling maybe.
