Agreed about the pet names, I was open to them before but only if they weren't too "cringey". That was until me and my gf started to ironically call each other "babygirl" as a joke and it stuck around to the point we now call each other that all the time
As for another opinion that changed, I don't mind spiders that much anymore I guess?

There is this cartoon called "Ok K.o Let's be heroes!" which is basically one of my all-time favourite things of all time and there was this villain called Lord Boxman who was my favourite character
He was dubbed as "Boxy" or just "Box" by the fandom a lot so I kinda took that and added a trash to it because I'm trash

Ok so everyone already stated the general reason as to why BLs are way more popular than GLs but as a personal reason:
A lot of GLs are honestly really boring and as a lesbian I find that really unfortunate.
I like slow burn and slow paced stories but oh my gods most GLs take place in a mundane boring highschool setting where they really prioriti......
