Only kind of. My parents let me do whatever I wanted without monitoring me 24/7, all they needed to know was when I came back home. They didn't check my grades, because I always did decent and trusted if I said I did good in a test. Though they were pretty strict in other things. My mom particularly was strict about my image. I don't think arguing is all that bad tbh. I mean if it's for stupid trivial things like not liking something a story or talking about mangas that I don't like, then there's no harm. For me personally if a character is meant to be a certain age, but they look much younger, it's always irks me even outside of porn. I remember seeing a shoujo were the girl looked like a pre teen and I was supposed to root for her relationship with a guy who looked well into his early twenties, which I just can't. Honestly, I don't plan to get married until my late twenties or early thirties, depending on how successful and stable I am at my job. Also of course the state of my relationship.
