I know most yaoi is written by women, but as a gay guy I really hate it when it's obvious that the woman writer has absolutely no idea how gay relationships/sex works (╬ ̄皿 ̄)   5 reply

Yaoi fan girls in this thread are literally admitting to getting off on seeing gay men get raped, yet wonder why gay men are uncomfortable with fujoshis as a group   5 reply

Poor communication over a very minor problem that can be easily resolved by talking for 30 seconds. Turns into a massive and thoroughly irritating 20 chapter issue   1 reply

This is why so many gay guys hate fujos. Anyway, I hope you get smacked or something to get some sense into your dumb head   reply

I lost my virginity to a guy I met in a gay bar when I was at uni, I think I was 20 at the time. I'm 24 now, and tbh that's the only time I've had sex because it was just meh to me. I'm not interested in it   reply

Personally I like both an equal amount. Bara is a bit more comparable to my real life sex experiences, since it's actually written by gay men unlike yaoi. Yaoi has more story, but is often very much a straight woman's ideal vision of what gay sex is, and is often unrealistic. Also, just like what you like, there's no right or wrong way to be a BL ......   reply

I'm a misanthope, and I think it's often assumed we hate everyone, but that's not entirely true. I have a few friends, however it took me a very long time to become close to them, and honestly my misanthropic nature stops me from fully committing to them. I expect them to betray me at some point. Some people become misanthrope's because of trauma......   1 reply

They can also be called gender non-conforming (GNC for short). An example of this is Jeffree Star on youtube. He is a man who enjoys wearing womens attire. A drag queen is a job and nothing more. about question
As a gay guy, yaoi is literally made for the consumption of women primarily. And that's not a bad thing. Gei Comics/Bara are made for the consumption of gay men primarily. It's not a big deal. Edit: this isn't to say those outside of these groups can't consume these medias, just that they are the primary target audience for marketing and such   1 reply

Connor Maguire is my favourite, I like red heads and guy who look like rugby players so he's perfect. He's also a verse/switch so even better   reply

Well... yeah? It's a story about gay men, so obviously us gay/bi men would like it too. Not sure if I've ever heard of any straight men reading yaoi, so maybe they do secretly.   1 reply

As a gay guy, I don't really care if straight people do or don't read yaoi, bara, etc Yes these stories can have certain problematic elements such as romanticising rape, but as long as you have enough sense to differ fiction from reality just go for it   3 reply
