I'm an FTM trans person and I'm gay. (Although I don't mention it much because I have a kind of complicated relationship with my gender and sexuality). I've heard stories of other trans guys whose sexualities shift after they start hormone therapy, so I don't want to fully define myself as gay. But I really don't like girls lol. A lot of the manga I read play more of a "I don't care if you're a man, I like you" card, so it doesn't really bother me. Sometimes the intricacies of the specific identities of the characters seem overkill, but it is nice when bisexuality or, on a rare occasion, internalized homophobia/compulsory heterosexuality is introduced.   reply
