I HATE dogs. I've lived with dogs all my life and they now make me super uncomfortable like something itches inside me when I see one. At the end of the day, it's a personal choice and no one can do shit about it. People can get offended about it and throw big fits online, it's not going to magically change a guy's porn preference, so I say pick your battles.

Honestly, a heat would be waaaaay better. Although a period would be better to deal with socially, it's such a waste to go through the process. Taking pills, instead of frequenting the bathroom just to throw away some bloody pad and use another one, is something I would find pretty easy. The horny part is just another benefit.
