What do you guys think about love rivals for the uke, like uke characters who are interested in the main seme and act as hurdles for the main seme.
Personally speaking, i HATE them because they're just a gender swapped yaoi version of the very regressive very annoying female love ribal characters from shoujo/josie where they usually fight for a man which is so annoying. This women fighting for a man trope evolved into two bottoms fighting for a top which really exemplifies how much BL has become a heteronormative industry
I really don't want this annoying trope to follow into BL so I drop any BL which has this trope

Idk maybe I'm just weird but I've never been the type to be popular, charismatic or even just normal yk? People for some reason don't like me
I don't think I'm that boring tbh, in fact I think I'm pretty funny and have a few worthwhile hobbies. I'm not super good looking but I'm not horrific to look at either

But still i don't have alot of friends. In colleg i just have one friend, and sometimes I feel like even she's only there with me cuz she feels bad for me, ik that's not true but it feels that way sometimes especially when I see her have fun with her big social friend group(she's quite popular)

I know it's ironic because people indulge in fiction due to wish fulfillment and self insert which is more relatable when the FL/MC is the underdog, like in a pathetic position and then slowly it changes and stuff
Personally I really dislike it
A big reason I read webtoons/novels is again wish fulfilment and trope fulfillment.
Personally I don't find it appealing when the FL starts out as pathetic as in weak or bland character, or she gets cheated on by her husband/boyfriend whatever, I also don't like when she chases after the ML.
I also don't like it when she's considered unremarkable plain blah blah blah by others and the side characters can't believe that a plain Jane MC like her can bag the hot ML

So I'm in year 12 right now and can't seem to focus. Because of covid and lockdown and all, last year was just blank. I didn't study shit and the whole year just passed by. So technically I haven't actually studied for an year and a half but I have my exams coming in a few months and I really wanna score well there. Anyone who faced a similar situation? How to get back into studying and concentrate ?

Ik this is like the weirdest place to ask this but if you really think about it most people read shit like this to distract themselves and stuff so it makes sense
