Sorry for the rant i just need to let this out lol.

I've just seen the news this story is going to get a live action and i'm straight up disgusted, if anyone wants to know why this story is banned from webtoon global for racism and that's not the only thing wrong with this story.

This is more of a me ick but the whole plot of the story is just "Beating children is actually okay and good" idc what stupid and over the top narrative the authors writes to make the ABUSE of children seem justified but that beliefs isn't going to help no one.

But wait there's more (literally copypasted from the comments under the story): "It seems like that arc was referencing a real news in Korea where a feminist teacher got exposed for enforcing female rights rules onto students' studies and received tremendous hate for it. The details coincides and the dates weren't too far off that incident. It wasn't a big deal until it was revealed that the whole thing was fabricated by male students to get her fired. The rules enforcement never happened and instead, male students spread that the teacher was feminist and radicals ended up bullying her into getting fired (you can check news on controversies about feminist teachers in korea, there was a #metoo movement back then, but Idt that relates to the webtoon). This in turn shone a bad light onto the author who used the topic to create a fictional scenario that painted feminist teachers into villains during a sensitive time. It didn't help that it was featured in the webtoon app after a female naver author was sexually harassed by a male naver author.(Man I was shocked at how many things was happening behind the scenes.)

Authors need to stop incorporating slavery in their shallow ass worldbuilding just to make the slaves the bad guys like no just because Penelope BOUGHT Eckles doesn't mean he owns her any loyalty. The Remarried Empress is a whole other can of worms, Navier or whatever her name is is such a shit person i hate everything about her boring ass classist personality, Rashta should have poisoned her ass

This story is such a well written masterpiece, i don't think any historical manhwa has ever come or will ever achieve this level of greatness. I have pictures of me crying after finishing it.

I've been following this story since it's very beginning and enjoyed every second of it, the characters are realistic and relatable and the pace is fantastic, i know some might be intimidated by the length of the story but please read it.

The title makes this story sound freakier than it actually is, it's a sweet romance with fun characters and relationship, if you need something to unwind this story is perfect for you. There are some conflicts but at the core this story is just a wholesome school romance.

Putting them together cuz technically Dear Gene is its sequel anyhow. Again i just really love stories written to be in a different time period, the art is beautiful and while i do believe some elements of this story could be improved i still really loved it.

The only reason this story is so low is because it's yet to be finished but even now incompleted it's a must read manga, the art is beautiful and while the mysteries are nothing too crazy it still has an eerie atmosphere.

Genuinely why is every single vaguely middle eastern or Desi character characterized as animalistic or as a brute that the white european has to tame and conquer. And the clothes? Why do they always put them in those fuckass racist belly dancer Halloween costumes?
