I am by no means the biggest fan of tragedies. But I found myself seeking out good ones on more than one occasion and I'll say its probably because its cathartic. I'm not someone who really indulges in the feelings the tragedies bring out when you're reading, or watching them. Honestly ive tried to stop reading yaoi but it never lasts long! After a while i get tired of the same old ‘normal’ romances and crave something different or something light and fluffy ( not that all yaois fit that criteria) and come back!
