I think you should just tell them the truth. I've learned that it's easier to earn trust and negotiate that way. Stuff can go wrong once in awhile or sometimes very often. Nah. I've been reading yaoi and yuri for around 8 years now and have no intention of stopping. Will I read less of it in then future? Maybe, usually I'll stick to a genre for a bit then read other stuff. As I get older and busier then I won't have as much time to read it. I don't think it's bad. This happened to me I was a really big of mha back when it first aired and by that time I was the same age as the students so of course I loved some characters. Now that I'm adult I still love these characters but I don't view them the same way. You can't magically stop liking a character just bc you grew up and that's fine.......   reply

Well as far as I know both loveless and sekaiichi are quite tame compared to what I read after both of those. Loveless was my first shounen ai meanwhile sekaiichi was my first yaoi. I watched/read them both around the same time. So I guess I started vanilla-ish.   reply

Like most fandoms there are ppl who ship just about any 2 characters. Ships nor head canons bother me as long as ppl don't get triggered when they don't become canon or because someone else doesn't agree. Overall ships involving fictional characters are mostly harmless so there isn't a need to trash on the shippers. But yea the fandom is pretty ......   1 reply
