Childhood/Best friends to lovers. It's just so overplayed and honestly every plot ends up the same way. Even in manga's that aren't specifically related to this theme, almost every time a childhood friend is introduced I wanna chuck myself out the window. And I think it is mainly because most of the time it's rare for the childhood friend character......   reply

I think it just depends on the story; Some author’s (across the bored) just put a lot more work into developing the relationships between the mc and other male characters than the mc with their female counterparts – so I think its to be expected that people will gravitate towards those pairings. But I don’t think its common across the whole......   reply
