There really is no reason to wait until marriage, if you are not highly religious. Decide depending on the relationship you are in and how it progresses. Try treating them like people instead of boys. Boys are different, and some might be douchy, some might me shy, some might be cool and some have more in common with you than you think. Try connecting over something you have in common, like maybe you hear something in a conversation or you can ask if others like xyz   reply
