Clingyness is ok, and I doubt it's limited to the duration of time you know a person. The degree of it matters though, and I would be pretty annoyed if they texted me every hour, especially to ask if I'm awake bc why are you asking, what purpose does my answer bring to your life? reply
using the first question as an example,
2n^2 -15n + 7 = 0
(2n - 1)(n - 7) = 0
2n - 1 = 0 and n - 7 = 0
therfore n = 1/2 and n = 7
