Yes, I do think knowing Japanese or Chinese before learning Korean helps, in 4 aspects: 1. Vocabulary. A lot of the words sound the same so being proficient in JP/CN is like having a huge chunk of the vocabulary already downloaded into you. The words are not exactly the same, but the closeness of the pronunciation helps you to remember. example: E......   reply

Yes, this is illegal. Are we likely to get in jail or sued for it tho? Not exactly. If any, it would be the owners of the site first, the ones who upload here second but there's too many of them/us here, that it would cost unreasonably too much for anyone to go after every single one of us. I would, however, keep the existence of this site on the ......   1 reply

about love yaoi
I think nothing much? My first foray into yaoi was ofcourse the more popular/better titles and what I liked about those (compared to shoujo) was how both characters in the relationship actually feel like human beings. Like they have emotions and actually work on solving their issues unlike most shoujo where there's always this "perfect" but ruthles......   reply

Hmm good question. I personally think it's not necessarily the act of reading bl but the manner and mindset with which you'd read bl. When a fujo reads BL, they are reading about a demographic that is not them, which is great if done well, harmful if not. And more often it's the latter. Sadly, BL is mostly catering to the female audience, so there......   reply

Heya! Not 100% sure yet, but I'm leaning towards pansexual (or bi bec i honestly can't 100% differentiate them yet, if anyone has good explanations, help me out) I'm from a more liberal, open-minded uni so everyone is basically gay. Well, not really everyone but you can definitely feel the LGBT community's presence more because it's a safer environ......   3 reply

Okay this is a funny story: definitely was too young to understand that mxm sex exists. Read something thinking it was a normal boyxgirl romance, went to the sex scenes and was confused af when they both had dicks. I just thought the author was a guy who didn't know how girls parts looked like. Took me years to understand they were actually both gu......   reply

So I know there are a lot answers to this already, but I want to say some things for the sake of people who could be reading and need it: Technically yes, in most countries it is illegal for minors to touch anything rated (that's why they are rated). However, I think you know best the answer to this condition: What matters is your maturity at hand......   reply

I kinda understand. As a native english speaker we never were strict in levels of language. But when I went to korea and was speaking in korean, I usually had to check whether I was talking okay towards my professors, or to strangers. Plus there are body language things too (hand stuff to elders with both hands). I assure you tho, english speakers......   reply
