manhwa is colorful and updates frequently so its more attractive. i do enjoy manhwas, they have their charm, but nothing beats manga for me. the world building, the creativity and flexibility of the panel placements, the expressions, the art styles, the character writing...manhwa just doesn't compare.   reply

people here are mad that their 8.3 underrated masterpiece is overlooked, but if im going to be honest, its fine if you want to only check out 9+ stories, most of the good stories are in the 9-9.9 range anyway. but a lot of shitty stories are also in that range, so i strongly recommend you read the comments of a story before you start it to see if ......   reply

art- manga arent creatively constrained to the scroll format like manhwa are. you can have extremely creative paneling in manga. the art itself also tends to be more diverse and stylistic and has more opportunity for crazy detail and compelling and breathtaking art. plot- there are tropes in both manga and manhwa, but the best stories are found in ......   1 reply
