Your sexuality shouldn't define what you read. I'm a lesbian and I read mostly BL and I don't really read GL (I'm picky). I will read shoujo if it's a good story as well. Refusing to read a type of story just because of your sexuality/gender is dumb. That's different if you feel uncomfortable or don't really like it.   reply

It's quite normal. I'm lesbian and only read BL. Before realizing I was a lesbian BL was a escape route for me because I felt weirded out reading straight stories. Also since BL is written by women and for women it usualy doesn't depict men quite well, so their actions, thoughts, feelings and appearance are quite feminine.
