Anyways, maybe something y'all might've noticed recently, but a lot of yuris these days have a sort of top/bottom dynamic, where typically one person is the one giving pleasure and the other is receiving it. This is how it is 100% of the time, and typically the bottom doesn't touch the top sexually. Obviously there's nothing wrong with this, these roles exist in the real life lesbian community as well (stone tops and pillow princesses) and if you're into it, you can completely be satisfied both mentally and physically by it.
The thing with this though is top/bottom labels come from the gay community, where they define them as someone who likes putting their dick inside and someone who likes taking dick in the ass. And these make sense since people might have different preferences, and you can get pleasure either way. Though the adoption of these labels in the lesbian community usually aren't going to be as clear-cut or definitive, since female anatomy is different, it's not like we can just put our vulvas in someone else's vagina.
If you want to receive pleasure from your genitals as a cis female, normally you'd need to touch yourself there, except this may be seen as feminine/a bottom thing. And a lot of these gl authors like to display explicit top/bottom dynamic because of heteronormative views, and they want someone in a traditionally masculine sexual role and a traditionally feminine one. And if you want to keep this kind of gender roles in real life, I think it's fine if you understand the implications and it's consensual. Actually a lot of stone tops and pillow princesses like to do it. But I just wanted to say that this is not the only way to do things nor is it how lesbian relationships should be structured, and typically sex is more dynamic for us than with straight or mlm people. That's why it's especially important that if you want to use labels like top/bottom/vers as a wlw person, you define what you mean by it. Like some people consider dom/sub as the lesbian version for top/bottom, or some people base it on penetration. You can't just put "top" on your dating profile like in grindr and everyone will know what you mean by it. And most importantly you should never feel pressured to take on a label, especially to fit some kind of societal standard, or not try something you're interested in. If you want to find out more about your preferences, experimentation helps, and if not that be open-minded and critical. And never use fictional relationships as a blueprint. Personally, and this is going to be a bit of TMI, but if I had to, I would consider myself a top. Hey. Does anyone else have self-harm scars that make things a little difficult for them? I try not to do it as much anymore but sometimes I just relapse and it feels like my arms are filling up with scars. I used to like wearing short sleeves but I feel I can't do that anymore because they're going to be visible and people are gonna see and "know" or straight up ask "what's that on your arm?" and it makes me so uncomfortable. Not to mention there's so many trash people that think people SH for attention nowadays. I know I could just use concealer or something to cover it up, but that takes so long and doesn't even give good enough coverage, especially with the raised scars. I've been thinking maybe I could just wear some compression sleeves or something but I feel like that would look ugly and be kind of obvious. Anyone relate or have any advice?

What are some of the worst injuries you've sustained?
For me, my worst would probably be some years ago when I had to get hospitalized for an ED (eating disorder, not erectile dysfunction). I was basically half-dead at that point, kind of like a zombie. Anyways healthcare is free in my country so it wasn't so bad. Got to eat some unusual food too, like lasagna.
