1) Too many people think dark/psychological/tragic storyline = good story. A story can be deep and meaningful without being soul crushingly sad. People who think like that remind me of that trope of the man suddenly discovering empathy after he doing acid for the first time. It's all about balance like a diet if you only eat sugary foods all day everyday it fuck you up. Just like you I hate puritanism and purity culture a LOT, I think sex is just another aspect of life and we should all be more open about. I was 13 and a friend brought a shojo magazine she bought at school (like shounen jump but for shojo) it had a BL section and the one story I remember is Soba Ni Oitene. Like it was so cute and fluffy and just kinda opened a new world for me and I haven't stopped since lol   reply
