Almost every single isekai with a male MC has harem and ecchi in it, otherwise it's not popular and gets axed. To be honest, I avoid reading the bad stuff. I don't read stuff with less than 8.0 in rating and I avoid stuff that are messed up. I'm very picky, so I also drop stuff that starts to get boring right away. I hate it when characters hurt each other constantly. I hate indecisive characters whose indecisiveness end up hurting people and I hate reckles......   1 reply

FL being stronger than ML all throughout the story. Sometimes there are cases in which FL starts stronger or more capable but by the end of the story ML has gained enough strength to surpass FL in most of them. I’d like more stories where the FL is just that good, period.   reply

Oh, I totally get what you mean. I can’t think of anyone off the top of my head right now though. What are some of yours? Also, bad boy / play boy / bad bf / bad husband / MLs who go through redemption are mostly out for me. There are also neglectful parent characters who are a bit hard to forgive as well. Well... I wouldn't know because I don't like that at all, not IRL and not in fiction either. It's a huge turn off to me. In fiction I might tolerate it a little bit if it contributes to the story or there's a good reason for it, but it can only be a little bit because it annoys me and once a story annoys me to a certain point I drop it. I totally get what you mean about Korean webtoons. They do indeed feel more realistic, the characters have more depth and the seme doesn't try to rape the uke. I freaking hate how they try to make rape seem romantic, but then again, there are also Japanese manga that are just as good. It happens sometimes but it's not like I see it everywhere. Sometimes the authors do it on purpose and sometimes even without the author's will it looks really suggestive and sometimes it's even canon.
