I'd take great plot because if it is really that great, it will suck you into the story and you stop seeing the art. Although I have trouble applying that rule to challengers. I don't like the plot and characters enough to look past her horrible art.

School life is always boring, Japan or not and while dating isn't particularly welcome due to school pressures, I'm sure it isn't outright banned. I always say I'm learning about Japan through manga but that's only true to certain cultural things. I mean there are a ton of shrines and school cultural festivals happen to attract students and create ......

Not me. It’d be nice to have money and a known path but the expectations and attention would drive me nuts, even the constitutional ones where the queen has no power and purpose. Those include marriage and kids, 2 things I hate and would never do.

I do cry at the end of innocent bird. The manga isn't a tragedy- it's a happy ending but the mangaka just closed the story so perfectly and beautifully, you're so happy and touched. The mangaka does take an alternative view of Christianity though so hard-core Christians will get bent out of shape if they forget it's fiction.

I was about 24-25 when I started and truthfully, I didn't really like yaoi in the beginning. I read it to get exposed to lgbt issues. Not the most realistic or reliable source but when u come from a strongly anti- lgbt family you need to start slow.

I once got a D on a biology test. It was on plants, and distinguishing them is difficult. Not that taking it when having the stomach flu helped but my professor was a nazi and wouldn’t let you retake tests ever.

Not usually. If it's a couple paragraphs, they're pretty good and even if they themselves don't like it, the reviewer is like "if you like...watch it." However I've noticed a lot of people who review every single episode and they just end up hating everything and hanging on useless details that have no relevance. anime is a hobby for most people, n......

I haven't had a first love but my first crush in hindsight was pretty lame. It was an upperclassman in my French class and I basically liked him because he was nice and polite, like opening a door for me. I knew deep down I wasn't serious though so I didn't do anything about it and let it die. Still though, I'm really embarrassed because it's somet......

Depends on the individual. My sister didn't wait and she ended up in a good marriage. My sister-in-law did wait and their marriage is good too. All I can say is use protection because my nephew was born two weeks before their 1st wedding anniversary. It happened fast.

It depends on the mood I'm in. It's junjou if I need a laugh or slight slice of life feel full of heart. I read sekaiichi if I want a more mature and professional take on whatever is happening.

I haven't really seen many uke's having sex with others. It happens on occasion but even then they aren't in a committed relationship or just part of a sex friend agreement. They aren't obliged to be faithful to anyone. Relationships don't fit into a "one size fits all" explanation.
Traditionally, women are portrayed to being adverse to that but ......

I like yaoi because the characters are usually mature. There are shoujo where the hero/heroine are mature but it's not common and Josei has mature women but between drama and desperation to attract men, they don't act it.

Not really. I don't want to die right now but should it happen, I'm at a place where I've accomplished some major goals that'd I be able to accept it.

I'm in non-profit management now but I'm seeking something in oil and gas or research. If anyone knows of openings, do tell- I'm getting desperate here.

I heard about it yesterday but very few of the series I read get placed on bato. I didn't find the site user friendly either so I avoided it. Truthfully, I don't think the lack of bato will have that much of an impact though. I thought manga traders was a horrible loss...yeah, does anybody remember that? I didn't until I got reminded of it.

Uh, not sure how to answer. Seems to work fine with me but you never said how long you were gone, so if it's 5 years, mangago has done quite a bit of updating since then.

Only when I'm angry and/or sick of people's BS but i rarely express it, doing the fake smile and quiet demeanor. Because I work in non-profit customer service and their behavior is perfectly acceptable in their minds.

I always get asked where I'm from and got my accent from. The thing is, i don't have one. I just have a speech impediment that sounds like an accent. I used to explain that but then they get disappointed. Now, I just make some vague line, and they state what they thought it was, and it's different for everyone. Still, why do I have to be put into t......

If my nephew showed an interest when he was much older, I'd allow him to check out my books but I wouldn't introduce it. I mean, I worry about him going through my books and he can't read yet. Fortunately, most of my yaoi is "fade to black" or vague sex scenes. Sekaiichi hatsukoi, however...

I was like that for a couple years. Straight romance just got boring when I had yaoi but the last year I've started reading it again. I'm more picky about what I like and don't like in it though. The couple really has to be compatible for me to read multiple volumes of it.
