Well for me, a fictional crush is more like 'oh you're pretty/cute' and most often 'I ship you so hard with this character'. I love the kind of romance that destroys worlds. So if I'm going to fall for a character, it's got to be seperate from reality (and me).
My first fictional crush was from a book (trilogy) called The Forbidden Game. His name ......

What you're pulling from that story, that character, isn't quite what you think it is. Sometimes I wish I had my generation handy because we went through this with the character of Spike from Buffy.
Everyone pulls something different from a character, a story. What makes behaviour ok in manga where it's not ok IRL is that 1) the feelings of every......

Sharing this for all my sad homos out there
99% gay sexually
70-80% gay romantically
5% gay fashionably
50% gay emotionally
60% gay technologically
To know how gay I am metaphysically you have to ask my ghost after I die.

Gotta add this disclaimer first: I'm not straight. I'm a lesbian.
Disclaimer 2: this will practically be an essay in length. So if you're not for that, you're not going to want to read. The details behind fan culture is my thing. I love studying it and I'm still considering using it for my grad year project when the time comes.
1) Why do a lot of ......

I write. All the time. I can write about anything and everything. I love world-building and playing around with characters. I love going over what I've written, fine-tuning it and getting it where I want it. It keeps me up at night. I keep a notebook by my bed because sometimes a dream will spawn a new story. It's the only natural talent I've got ^......

I like strong ukes . The kind who isn't afraid to put the seme in their place and take charge when they want to. I can't stand the uber-masculine, overbearing and uber-controlling semes who force domination. It's one of the reasons Totally Captivated is my all-time favorite manga. And why I can never quite get into the Finder series. Despite them b......

BJ Alex I read the first chapter a couple of times and tapped out.
Then I took a day to just binge it since everyone seemed to love it.
Yep...about what I expected.

I think it's the threat perspective actually. A uke often takes a more female personality, with a more empathetic connection with everyone around them. So the lover to friend transferrance can come through without placing doubt on the genuine feelings of the character. But with a seme it's a little more difficult. Often how they relate to the worl......

It's a little more complicated IRL.
The easiest way to say things is to point you towards the Kinsey Scale. The Kinsey Scale has its flaws but the general premise holds up. That you have 'gay' where 10/10 times you pick a partner of the same gender. 'Bi' a 5/10 for both. Straight, a 10/10 for both. But then you have people who pick a same sex part......

I'm going to take this more as 'would you have a relationship with'. Because trust me, you can fall in love with a lot of different people and not all of them good. So to answer this relationship-wise:

In manga/fic it's something I actually look for. Because for me the incest angle hits the 'love beyond anyone's understanding button'. The same way knotting fic hits the 'size!kink' button. Both appeal to my inner drama queen. When I read incest manga I'm not thinking 'oh this guy is using his relationship with his brother to gain sexual gratificat......
