I think it's the threat perspective actually. A uke often takes a more female personality, with a more empathetic connection with everyone around them. So the lover to friend transferrance can come through without placing doubt on the genuine feelings of the character. But with a seme it's a little more difficult. It's a little more complicated IRL. The easiest way to say things is to point you towards the Kinsey Scale. The Kinsey Scale has its flaws but the general premise holds up. In manga/fic it's something I actually look for. Because for me the incest angle hits the 'love beyond anyone's understanding button'. The same way knotting fic hits the 'size!kink' button.
