Random thought but can BL be seperated into generations e.g 1st, 2nd, 3rd Gen just like Kpop does based on a major change in style, format, or fanbase?

1st Generation BL's would only consist of mangas during the time period before the 2000's to early 2000's such as Under Grand Hotel, Ai no Kusabi, Sex Pistols, and etc and would mostly be isolated in Japan with little to no global audience.

2nd Generation BL would be the digitalization and globalization of BL mangas during late 2000's to early 2010's and a slight increase of an international fanbase with mangas such as Sekaichi Hatsukoi, Love Stage, and many more.

3rd Generation BL would be during late 2010's to now, characterized by the gradual change of BL becoming more of a mixed industry rather than a purely manga dominated industry with the introduction of manhwas and manhuas such as BJ Alex, Dear Door, etc. and most notably the sudden explosion of new BL readers.

Just randomly thought of this when I saw how a majority of the BL readers first read were not mangas but manhwas which are fairly recent things. (=・ω・=)
