make sure the pan is blazing hot.
one/two eggs based on how big the kids are
a tiiiny amount of water or milk (like, 1/4 tsp or so)
pinch of salt
pepper pepper pepper
whip the shit out of it
pour whipped bubbly mix onto pan, swirl, fold with two spatulas if needed. Do this quickly because the egg cooks in practically seconds.

Are there any differences between the way the girl replacing you does the actions and the way you were doing them? Your group mates may not have the ability to articulate what they want you to do so they may be expecting you to just 'get it'.
