1) I have no interest in being a gay man. The yaoi fans I know don't either. We like being women.
2) If you read a ton of yaoi (like I have) you see the same characters over and over. It can become boring and generic, thus a stereotype. Also, they mean a 'yaoi' stereotype not a 'gay' stereotype. They are very different.
