you’re fully allowed to read and enjoy BL, as a straight girl, but saying you don’t fetishize gay couples is straight up wrong. the whole concept of “yaoi” is fetishization. you may not like it because it sounds like a bad thing, and it really is a bad thing, but you’re still technically allowed to enjoy BL.   reply

i started reading yaoi at around that age too, and honestly? yes, you are too young. a lot of yaoi features abusive and/or pedophilia-esque relationships, and at your age, it’s very possible that reading tons of stories like that can effect the way you view relationships, and not in a good way.   1 reply
