15. Nah it won't tear. I have gotten mine snagged on my loofah before, but it was fine. I would suggest sticking to barbells only (rings are more likely to get caught with the rings)
Also, people shouldn't ask if a certain piercing hurt because everyone's pain tolerance is different.
