My friends, which are fujoshis, suggested a yaoi manga for me to read and that was Kamisama no Iutoori (there's another Kamisama no Iutoori that is not yaoi), that's how I first encountered yaoi manga. I played League of Legends with my friends, that's my first 5v5 game I played tho I'm pretty average. I main ADC but since I went to college and got busy, I haven't play it since then.
