This is targeted to every single media, but I want to focus especially on BL because it's getting hilarious. I was annoyed by two things:
1. Readers complained about not having good characters, cute, fluff and healthy relationships in a mainly drama/angst webcomic where they were both basically toxic as a couple and toxic as characters the beginning.
2. Readers went in adoration for asshole seme who suddenly turned into a good guy. An asshole seme who's been his asshole self for 39 chapters suddenly plays so hard the "good seme" part by becoming so affectionate and protective towards the uke.
I get it. You guys like to ship characters and to like characters, but NOT every relationship portrayed has to be turned into a healthy one just as not every character portrayed has to be turned into a good one, because sometimes it just doesn't make sense. Try to reason more with your brain, because sometimes, when you want so bad redemption arc for a character/relationship that is CLEARLY meant to be toxic, etc, you sound like you're entirely detached from reality. This goes especially when this redemption arc is so badly written and maybe even rushed out.
Both authors and readers are at fault in this. I mean I don't expect that much from cheap yaoi online, but some readers and also authors are really are out of their minds.

I agree with the fact that sometimes you want to read happy stories with happy characters having happy endings, but IF a GL/BL story is tagged as angst, tragedy or dark, and throughout the chapters is SO CLEAR is going to end up in a sad-ending, why do you even complain to the author showing off the LGBTQ+ card? I'm sorry, but I'm an author myself, I like drama and angst, and regardless of the type of love I'm writing about (straight, gay or lesbian) I have the right to choose the ending I prefer for the story, whether it's a happy or sad one. You can complain that you wanted a happy one, but at a certain point, if you're reading something tagged as dark, tragedy or angst, you should at least expect it. Authors have the right to choose their own ending, and they don't have to get bashed for it (unless it doesn't make sense, then you can criticize it).
They jump straightforwardly to the sex, especially when the uke is overly slutty or the seme is overly horny. Sometimes there are webcomics, especially BL, that I like, where I find the drawings/concept/characters either interesting or intriguing, so I expect a construction of the relationship, or at least some sexual tension to make it cool, but no, they jump straightforwardly to sex and I just roll up my eyes in annoyance. Does it ever happen to you, too? It's so annoying. I also find much more interesting a sexual tension rather than a sexual scene, it's just much more interesting to me because it leads to imagination.

4. The Evil Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ...she was so fucking cool but scary as a villain I still have nightmares of the dungeons with the skeletons.

I don't know if it's just me, but I noticed that lots of times there are three categories of semes:
1. The rapist/manipulative/aubser/ huge fucking asshole eventually going through a redemption arc = very frequent.
2. The extra gentle/extra cute/extra sweet up to become cringe and boring at the same time = kinda very frequent too.
3. The well balanced one who's romantic and protective, able to create healthy relationships that don't lack of conflicts but can be resolved in a correct way, etc = extremely rare in my opinion.
Sometimes I wish there were more seme being...filled up...... with lights and shadows, meanwhile most of times it's like pure good versus pure evil. It's probably the seme with the ukes, but I think a bit less? Or maybe I'm just more tolerant with them, I'm not sure.

Which is a genre / setting you just avoid because you find it boring or uninteresting or anything else? To me it happens with comedy, fluff or cute stuffs, plus highschool or university setting. BL / Josei / GL where...you didn't ship any couple? Is there any story that was supposed to involve romance where you actually didn't want any couple to get together? It happened to me with Back to school. I only liked the protagonist, meanwhile the good guy was a bit boring even if a good person, and the other guy...well...he was absolutely out of his mind and a rapist. I really didn't ship anything but I kept reading it to know the progression of the story.

Do you guys skip the sex detailed scenes? I do that most of the times, because unless they're portrayed in a captivating way I get very bored. I really prefer when sexual scenes are drawn partially, leaving half of the act up to the imagination. What about you? Valid for BL, josei and GL.

Dicks, holes, dick penetrating hole, basically smut. Does it ever happen to you to be totally bored or uninterested to it? Honestly, even when I ship the couple I tend to appreciate a sexual scene only when it's not super detailed... I like to "imagine" much more. Is it just me? Because in the comments of every story everyone else seems to appreciate extra detailed sexual scenes.
