As the others who have commented, I don't think you need to worry about age. I know people approaching 40 who still loves ghibli movies just as much as they did in their youth. Tbh I'm not sure what advice to give you. I'm pretty sure I've got some sort of social anxiety, but it's not overly crippling to me. It's just that I'm afraid of ambiguous social situations and crowds. Hmmm. Personally I have my age in my bio, and i don't really see a problem in asking someone if you're getting along well and age is relevant.
