Love does not equal sex, nor does sex equal love. Sometimes you can love someone and they can love you and you will still not work as a couple. It’s ok not to be stuck at the hip. Your love story may not look like stuff in fiction, but if it works for you, then that’s ok.   reply

I don't mind rape in fiction whether it's played straight or its "romantized". It's fiction, the character is going to react however the author wants them to. I understand it can trigger some survivors, but on the other hand sometimes it doesn't. One of the things I’ve noticed bothers me about BL is the fact that character A just assumes character B is going to be ok bottoming. I think yaoi has slowly moved away from that trope. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen at all, but at least most of the new series i follow either have both characters be fairly “equal” in the body type, and even if they are not, one half is not drawn super “soft” to resemble a female.
