I'm the type to live and let live.
My point being, in general PDAs make me uncomfortable, regardless of the genders involved. That being said, people are free to love however and whomever they want.

Beauty Pop.
The story line may seem absurd and kinda shallow, but you would think in a story like this the female lead would be those annoyingly stupid girls. Kiri is the complete opposite of that. She’s strong I her conviction and nothing ruffles her feathers.

My brother knows I read yaoi. He's constantly berating me because I'll leave the pages open on my iPad (oops).
My mom has no idea what yaoi is, but she has an inkling of what kind of things I'm reading.
Most of my friends are not anime/Manga fans, so they wouldn't know.

Hmm..Akuma na Eros?
Hot Gimmick?
There was another one I read and hated with a passion but I don’t remember the title at the moment.
All I remember it was about a girl who fell as a kid and received a scar on her neck/chest from the branch and some kid helped her and she fell in love. Something cheesy like that.

I'm older than the poster and no makeup for me. It makes me feel self-concious. I only ever really wear makeup for Halloween. Even for my quinceañera I barely wore lipstick and once it wore off that was it, I didn't reapply it.
In short I'm too lazy to bother with putting on makeup.

Good question. Don't really know though. I just like that it, and it's not even about anything graphic. I find shonen-ai hot too, but on the flip side, I don't care much for heterosexual smut or romance.
Maybe I just like seeing pretty guys?

Are straight people oppressed?
Some might feel that way when you see articles where someone in a minority went vocal about something said by a straight person and said person backed down due to “backlash”, but in reality no, not really. I doubt straight people have to justify why they like a certain person, and they don’t live in fear of ret......

Ooh boy, this is fun :)
Let’s start this massacre...mua ha ha...
Kagome: shrill bitch. Nuff said.
Kaoru: compared to the people around her, she’s useless. She’s a fighter, sure, but for the most part she’s just dead weight. Oh and her love story with Kenshin makes no sense. Realistically, she’s too idealistic for someone as jaded as hi......

I don't think anyone should be ashamed of liking what they like, but maybe we just need to be cautious about how much we tell some people.
For example, I have a few good friends, but only with 1 of them I can be totally open about my like of yaoi. The other 2 I would probably never bring it up ( they also don't watch anime or read manga, so there's......

Reread them if you want to.
Unless you’re asking about the hype because you want to engage with other people reading it, I don’t see why you don’t want to reread just because they may not be the top series now.
BTW, I think BJ Alex gets a bit more exposure even now due to Jinx.

Eh, it varies. Mostly i think subconsciously I might believe there's a god or something out there, but I am hardly religious in any sense of the word.
I do believe in that there are otherworldly creatures we've never seen or encountered though and ghosts too.

I would like to learn both. Lately webtoons have boomed and even though they are being constantly updated there are usually raws that are ahead.
As for Japanese, there is a ton of manga I wish I could read, so I'd be nice if I could read the language.

Very interesting question:
My first memory of yaoi was at age 17 and I was in my fifth period AP art class and one of the girls in my class had volume 1 of Fake. Obviously that particular volume only shows kissing, but I found myself liking what I saw and curious. The scene that shook me also happened to be in Fake, but it was volume 7, where Dee ......

Kiri from Beauty Pop. Still have not encountered another protagonist as unruffled as her.
Rukia from Bleach. She was tough, but not a b*tch and her whole reason for being was not a guy.
Tang Rou from The King’s Avatar. Very pretty girl who’s super competitive, but again not a b*tch and doesn’t use her looks nor does she get persuaded by an......

I came to realize sometime around 21 that I am actually asexual, but throughout my high school years I struggled with that thought. I wanted a boyfriend for the sake of having one, not because I really feel the need to have one.
I would look at other girls and their interactions with the guys and would think "what are they doing that I'm not?" And......

When the story has young children anywhere in the narrative( I’m not talking about shota). I usually avoid stories involving m-preg or just any where one party has a young child from a previous relationship. Usually the kid characters are written as very annoying (at least to me).
I can tolerate if the character has a teenaged child, but prefera......

In my personal experience I’ve found that it’s quite the opposite actually. I’m more of a tapo teddy now than when I First discovered it.
I’m about to turn 32 btw, and honestly about 95% of the manga I read is yaoi.
