for bls: when i see homophobia/internalised homophobia or when the words women/girlfriend are being thrown around like a buzzword (basically heteronormativity in a gay fiction lol)
edit: + “we’re both men,” “i’m not even a women” and anything remotely related to mentioning ‘turning gay’
i know i might’ve said this alot on this ......

chronically online people scare me, because their mentality is so different.
i call them social justice warriors because when i used to interact with them and was chronically online myself during covid, it was horrible. they will cancel you for anything, whether you’re not gay or progressive enough, or you like a certain idol is a landmine for t......

the words ‘girlfriend, straight, i’m not gay’ being used as buzzwords off a checklist but not meaningful in any way towards a character’s development.
rather than using it sparingly to talk about a character’s grapple with internalised homophobia, it just looks homophobic by the writers. it’s glazed off so suddenly.
just smells like ......

I agree. Yaoi is similar to any other porn or anime or manga with sex out there. Because of cancel culture, it’s seen as evil. I’m gay and I don’t really care about it lol. Enjoy what u enjoy.

because people who call themselves fujoshis are mad weird, you can like reading bl stuff but not call yourself a fujoshi
Like the way they act online is crazy. I’ve seen a few speak about ships to the person in PUBLIC, keep it to yourselves if you are going to at the very least. They like to classify gay guys as ‘top’ and ‘bottom’ based ......

I agree with the depictions of gay couplings. Sometimes I do get annoyed at the way ukes are way too feminine, almost depicting that bottoms are only reserved for people that are female-like and semes are for masculine people. Also with the depiction of denial as well. It’s such a common trope that MCs are so annoyingly up their denial of homosex......

i'm also a gay dude who reads for entertainment (since there isn't much gay media, the only one with an overwhealming amount is fanfics)
i'd like to say that pretty much most readers actively hate rape/non-con/dub-con/sexual assault, but i just get a bit confused when i see people's top reccomendations having exactly that (and they don't warn peo......

There is nothing wrong about having a little extra weight. But if your falling into obesity levels, it’s reccommended that you should keep track of your weight and still try to be healthy & active.
Also don’t forget that girls are also skinny shamed nowadays too, not only fat people, and it’s because of ‘body positivity’ which kinda not ......

i remember someone asking this and the answer was 'you're searching for the impossible' and they're right because there isn't any LMFAO
most of the poly is either some harem or weird open-relationship where they share the MC or just purely a threesome.
the only poly one i've read was the webtoon 'boyfriends' but i'm sure you've already read it

YES! The terms are completely fine and are harmless if you’re just using it to define the top/bottom, but the way bl readers label an entire character and call them by ‘uke’ or ‘seme’ is so weird when they could easily say mc/ml like a het manga does??

I'm not a fujoshi, but a gay male too, but I want to talk about these too ahaha.
I personally don't like it when uke's are always 'femenine' depicting that the 'bottom' role is purely for submissive people that are femenine, even in gay relationships. There are alot of femenine gay boys and it's fine, but the way they are depicted in these like st......

you’ve probably already read it since it’s so popular, but ‘Trash of the count’s family’
Quite literally just a guy trying to make sure he can basically retire peacefully in the isekai’d world and all the characters are like family, very wholesome.
otherwise, bump because i’m looking for some too, and i’ll be stealing your list

Isekai and systems, I just love having this character that knows everything and everything mostly goes to plan. It feels like watching those detective shows where you feel comforted by everything going to what you expect it to be like.
As for romance troupes, puppy-like characters, full stop.

You don’t have to get married. Recently there is also social change around letting people happily live single.
You don’t have to have a relationship at all either, and if your not ace, you can also just sleep around too if you want to.
Saying it’s a ‘rebel phase’ is kinda like when people call being gay a ‘phase.’

I saw your comment about you being older and mentioning having a feeling of confusion for what a crush is when you were younger. I know it doesn’t answer your original question for ‘what a crush feels like,’ but I just wanted to say some things to someone who is in a similar boat to me.
I think first of all, don’t worry about labelling you......

I get you but I also get people dropping it when a love interest appears. I don’t know why authors can’t get romance and action right without making it frustrating as hell whether it’s straight, BL, GL couple or whatever. I enjoy reading purely the main character’s revenge and want every chapter dedicated to that goal because that’s what ......
