Angry rl family manga experiences

Can anyone tell me if they have the same problem, and if they know a solution to fix it?:

Every single time I’m doing something, even if it’s drawing in my own art style, or looking at a tv show, my mom always says that I’m doing “manga stuff”. Half the time she says that, she either mispronounce manga, or what I’m doing has nothing to do with manga.

This goes over-the-top when she says that I’m reading anime stuff, or watching manga shows, I just want her to understand that they are not the same thing.

And most of the time, she just mixes anime and manga up, and that’s what makes me mad.

Help me please.
