I was 14 and horrified, because I was an innocent little Gintama fan that stumbled upon Harada's works and never even thought of shipping Hijikata and Gintoki.
Didn't start actually reading yaoi until I was almost 18 though. My first series was Sekaiichi Hatsukoi though. Long live Trifecta.
