Writing usually depends on the process. It's pretty easy to think up a plot or an event, which in my opinion is basically daydreaming, but for me, the hard part is developing it into an actual story. I could think up all the characters and details I want, but I struggle with either fitting things in or stretching it out. I've deemed myself incapabl......   1 reply

Writing can both be incredibly easy and terribly difficult all at the same time. lol As a writer sometimes I am flooded with story ideas and plots and characters. The problem becomes they're not always complete. I love writing beginnings and random scenes. But man putting together a plot that runs through more than some random scenes and has an end......   1 reply

Yeah, writing is really hard. I'm not a super experienced writer, but here are some lessons I learned from my limited experience. Before you read anything below (my answers got really long, sorry) let me just say that the best thing you can do is write. If you've got a story on your mind already, start it and see where it takes you. You'll have mor......   1 reply

Ok, so I love the fact someone asked the question. I also stubbled across it by accident and I am new to this site (thing) as a whole. However, as for writing, I have extensive experience. As in, 8 years working on the same story if you will. So I'm going to just address what I would consider the various parts of this question. DISCLAIMER: These ......   2 reply

I've written multiple original stories and posted them to sites including wattpad, the most popular one is currently at 175k+ words, with over half a million reads. I'm definitely still a novice, but I thought I'd answer with a few things I've noticed. Writing a story —finishing a story— requires commitment. Whether you're a hobbier or a profe......   2 reply

I am a writer and I've written both original stories and fan fiction. I prefer to write fantasy, and one of the main road blocks I come across is worldbuilding. It's really easy to just info-dump while trying to communicate what your world is like, but that's not really ingestible information for your reader, so you have to drip-feed it to them thr......   1 reply

I'm both a fanfiction and original writer. For me, writing wasn't really hard but the main problem is, as everyone had experienced before, motivation. I mostly write romance or tragedy, depends on my mood and my works are usually short. (I'm more of a short story writer lol) Unique plot is always good, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little bit of ......   1 reply

Writing isn't all that hard. You just have to practice daily and think about what kind of story you would want to read. Reading a lot and reading a variety of things is helpful since the bulk of storytelling comes from your own experiences and experiences of others real and imagined. Originality doesn't actually exist; it's all about learning how t......   1 reply

Coming up with stuff to write is easy for me but actually writing it is... I usually come up with prompts based irl, I also write formally, and there's really nothing original in this world lmao but seriously tho, just write whatever, let your imagination run wild.   1 reply
