Dictionaries + Personal Experience.
I’ve had a few years experience with basic chinese and one year with Japanese.
Sadly, I learned these through school websites/classes so I cannot give any sources to help begin. But I can help with dictionaries sites.
Yellow Bridge is a Chinese dictionary. My class often used it, it’s really helpful, let’s you write in pinyin, English, or Chinese.
Jisho is a Japanese dictionary that I use often. Your able to use romanized, hiragana, kanji, katakana, and English for searches.
Sorry being literally of no help.
If you want some advice: Japanese and chinese may look complicated but once you get the hang of sentence structures, terms, and the general language rules, it’ll clear up. Ex. Chinese characters aren’t actually all that complicated if you understand the meaning of the radical(s).
Best of luck. :))))
