Do you guys really ship people in real life?
After reading that post about fujoshis, I can't stop thinking about it.
I mean the girl contradicted herself a lot and all of that, but some answers had me appalled like what???
Do you guys really think is healthy shipping celebs/idols?
I answered someone why I think is very problematic, giving this example:
Is a big problem because fans don't know how to stop their obsession with shipping, take One Direction for an example, Harry and Louis were (and still are) shipped a lot, to the point that when they had girlfriends their shippers would attack the girl everywhere, on the social media and in real life, when Louis had a child, they would theorize that is was a fake kid and all of that, those shippers ruined their friendship a lot, yes they are friends but it's just not the same thing. With kpop idols is the absolute same, yes they are selling a character, but the character doesn't include a bf/gf, this shipping thing comes straight from the fans heads and they delude themselves with their own illusion, so yes, shipping celebs is a big problem because they are REAL, shipping can and will destroy their relationships and friendships, all because of some fans who can't separate wishful thinking from reality.
Also: is not really the idol that is selling a character, is their entertainment company which means they are forced to sell this character and sell all those fanservice 'bromance' y'all like to see, do you guys still think is a healthy thing?
Really want your guys opinion on this.
Tbh I never shipped irl ppl, being it ppl I know personally or celebrities/idols. I find it kinda weird. Once I found myself at a celeb interview and when everyone started screaming to them to kiss each other, I felt really uncomfortable.
