Why the heck do you think you need to tell her? It's not like you'd be doing anyone a favor. And if I was a parent, I think I'd be a lot more receptive to my kid being gay than to my kid coming up to me all like "Hey, just wanted to let you know I like to read gay smut."
I'd say just keep it to yourself. It's ultimately your decision though.
