I like plots where the “ugly” character loves themselves, or at least learns to love themselves without any glow up. They seem so much more badass when they don’t care about their looks. “Cursed princess club” from Webtoon is rly great at showing this.   1 reply

Yeah, I hated that manga. I always feel like I’m doing something blasphemous if I even look at that manga wrong. It baffled me that it even got so popular (among other shoujo mangas lol). Well it is a tale as old as time. The ugly duckling is becoming the beatiful swan. Well it can be done well, for example as a revenge thing. But the complete makeover for the crush or something like that is not my thing. In this stories they tend to have very ugly personalities. It is better to like someone the way they are. I don't really care. It's a fiction story and if that somehow affects how people sees th world then either that person is immature or something's wrong with their heads. Treat entertainment as entertainment and you will realize it's not that big of a deal   reply
