Personally, I never would. My mom isn't terribly chill, but even if she was, I probably wouldn't tell her. Yaoi is more explicit than shounen ai, so talking to my mother about reading it would feel a little like discussing watching porn with her. I know it's not the same thing, but it's the closest thing I can think of to describe the uncomfortable......
