No they much worse. I had a toxic friend once n she would always try to tell me that she was better than me. If we went out she'd always shit on my appearance and try to give me "tips" on how to look better or she'd embarrass me and tell other people my secrets. Whenever I got awarded or praised for something she would instantly try to tear me down......
