well for arabic, my #1 tip would be to memorize the alphabet and accents first, and then go on from there. there's also the multi dialect thing it has going on, so a word used in one region might not be used in another, though all languages are like that. idk. it gets on my nerves, lol. and for french, id suggest ignoring the alphabet, and starting with avoir. (basically verbs) you should learn the alphabet later on, there's only a few of them that really matter, since its similar to english and all.
